Community
LBWR Leaders in Action (LIA) operates in the Ballarat and Western Region of Victoria. This skills bank program provides pro-bono support for community organizations through the skills of graduates of the LBWR community leadership program. By 2009 seventy five highly skilled leaders will be available to community groups for assistance with:
* Organizational development issues and strategic review
* Advice on public profile, marketing and sponsorship
* Ideas sessions to help clarify plans and projects
* Guest speakers on a variety of topics
* Advice and support for one-off events
LBWR graduates can contribute to not-for profit and community organisations by joining a board, providing pro-bono advice and/or support as part of a project team, offering mentoring or through public speaking.
LBWR is pleased to confirm that for 2009 the LIA on-line database will be significantly expanded with organisations able to seek information and make applications for assistance on line. Further developments of LIA are being considered and companies interested in discussing a sponsorship package of this program should contact the Executive Officer, Roger Bade on 0400 059104 as soon as possible.
